The History of Close Up

Your favorite store has been around since 1987. Back then, Close Up was founded as a mail-order company for posters and postcards. Through strong relationships in the UK, Close Up was always able to offer exclusive posters that were not yet available in Germany. Only a few years later, trading with resellers began.Today, Close Up is at the forefront of the most important wholesalers and mail-order retailers of posters and merchandise related to film, series, music, pop culture, and fun. The range includes an incredible variety of posters, textiles, accessories, figures, stationery, and kitchen utensils such as cups, glasses, breakfast boards, bottle openers, and much more. Our fun gadgets bring joy and make for witty gifts that are anything but standard. Poster Sales at Universities

Our poster exhibitions are a real experience. In the style of an art opening, we show students a variety of outstanding posters & prints from the fields of educational posters, art, film, music, and photography. The exhibits are presented in a sophisticated and elaborate manner on large boards in their original format directly in the auditorium or cafeteria of universities and colleges.
