The Minions have existed since time immemorial and even longer. They are small, yellow, and see their purpose in serving a villain.
Unfortunately, their masters keep dying, and they have to find a new master villain.
Not only Count Dracula, but also Napoleon were among their masters. Usually, these don't die entirely on their own, but often the Minions bear a (small) share of the blame.
When they run out of villains, the depressed little yellow Minions retreat into the icy wilderness. It isn't until 1960 that the 3 bravest fellows decide to set off to find a new master. The adventure with Kevin, Stuart, and Bob can begin.
At a convention of the biggest baddies, they meet Scarlett Overkill and her husband Herb Overkill, a scientist. Scarlett is very ambitious, and the little Minions are supposed to help her rise to become the baddest of all villains.

The Minions and Despicable Me
Gru, the world's most despicable supervillain, lives in the midst of a beautiful suburban idyll. His favorite pastimes include stirring up trouble and ruining people's day. Surrounded by an army of Minions, genetically modified corn kernels, Gru plans his next big megacoup – stealing the moon! The only problem is that Vector wants to dethrone him as the supervillain, and at the same time, the three little orphans Margo, Edith, and Agnes are at his door. The little ones have gotten it into their heads that Gru would make an ideal dad for them, and they turn his world completely upside down.
Part 2 picks up where "Despicable Me" left off. The Minions, who became audience favorites, are also the secret stars of the film in Part 2. But one thing at a time... The "former" supervillain Gru has become tame and lives peacefully with his three adopted daughters Margo, Edith, and Agnes. But when a new villain appears, Gru is hired by the beautiful agent Lucy. He and his Minions are supposed to save the world.

In Part 3 of the Despicable Me series, Gru fights against a former child star of a successful children's show from the 80s named Balthazar Bratt.
Bratt, whose show was canceled, therefore hates the world and has devised a plan for world domination. When Gru and Lucy fail to complete their mission, they are expelled from the Anti-Villain League. After Gru finds his twin brother Dru, he faces the question of becoming evil again and committing a crime together with Dru.

At Close Up, you can't watch the great movie, but you can find the coolest fan articles, posters, and merchandise for "Despicable Me 1, 2, and 3."
