FAQ
FAQ (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)
1. Do you also ship internationally?
Yes, we also ship internationally. You can conveniently pay via PayPal, advance bank transfer, or credit card. Please note the shipping costs!
2. Do the posters come rolled?
But hey, we are professionals! All posters arrive rolled so that you don't receive any creases or folds. (A very few posters come folded, but that is the absolute exception and is then stated directly on the poster.)
3. What payment methods can I use?
By direct debit - The payment amount will be debited from your current account, specified during the ordering process, by our external partner Klarna after the goods have been dispatched. The direct debit payment option requires, among other things, a successful identity and credit check. The delivery and billing address must be identical and correspond to your officially registered address. Debits are only possible from German or Austrian accounts.
- By credit card - The payment amount will be charged to your credit card by our certified partner Saferpay after the goods have been dispatched. This ensures your data is secure. We do not store your credit card data.
- By PayPal - the fast and secure payment method of the future. For this, you must be registered with PayPal or have an account there.
- By advance bank transfer - you transfer the invoice amount to us, and we will send your package as soon as your payment has been received.
- By Sofortüberweisung (instant bank transfer) - the new, innovative payment method with TÜV certificate and TÜV-approved data protection.
4. Can I pay for my purchases on account/with Klarna?
Yes, we offer you the option to pay for your purchases by invoice with the payment service provider Klarna. Klarna allows you to choose from various payment methods such as credit card, direct debit and installment payment to pay for your purchase with us. You can find more information here: https://www.klarna.com/de/kundenservice/wie-funktioniert-der-kauf-auf-rechnung-mit-klarna/
5. Why am I receiving a payment reminder from Klarna?
If you selected "Invoice Purchase" when ordering, payment will be processed by our partner Klarna. You will receive a payment request if you have not paid the invoice on time. This letter serves as a reminder or dunning letter.
What to do?
• Check the invoice for accuracy
• Pay the outstanding amount as soon as possible
• If you have any questions, contact Klarna directly
Tip: In the future, pay attention to the payment due date to avoid further dunning fees.
6. Why can't I purchase on account?
Whether you can order on account depends on a credit check, which our payment service provider automatically performs in the background. If this is declined, unfortunately, purchase on account cannot be offered. Please understand: We ourselves have no influence over this. However, you can always choose a different payment method.
7. What is PayPal?
PayPal is the online payment service that allows you to pay for your purchases in just a few clicks. Your advantage: PayPal guarantees the payment, and we can ship your package immediately without having to wait for long bank processing times. Furthermore, you pay no fees and take no risks, as your bank and credit card details are securely stored with PayPal. For more information, visit www.paypal.de.
8. Why was I charged a return debit fee?
One reason could be that your account does not have sufficient funds. By providing their current account details, the customer confirms that they are authorized to make direct debits from the respective current account and will ensure that sufficient funds are available. Returned direct debits incur high costs and effort for the provider and Klarna GmbH. In the event of a returned direct debit (due to insufficient funds in the current account, the current account being closed, or an unauthorized objection by the account holder), the customer authorizes Klarna GmbH to resubmit the direct debit for the respective payment obligation once more. In such a case, you are obliged to pay a processing fee per returned direct debit.
9. How can I redeem a voucher?
If you have received a voucher, you can redeem it with the voucher code during the order process when you shop with us. In the shopping cart, you will automatically be asked if you have a voucher code.
10. Why can't I log in to My Close Up?
You may be using an email address that is not yet registered! This means that you are not yet registered in our new online shop with the email address provided. Since we were unable to transfer personal data from the previous webshop for data protection reasons, we ask you to re-register. So, if you have never logged into our new webshop before, a new registration with your email address will be necessary to continue to benefit from the advantages of being a registered Close Up webshop customer. This applies regardless of whether you have a customer number with us and/or receive our newsletter.
11. Do you also deliver to parcel lockers?
Yes, we deliver to packing stations. However, the maximum dimensions for shipments to packing stations are 60 x 35 x 35 cm - this means we unfortunately cannot send posters to packing stations. Sorry, DHL obviously didn't think of posters :(.
12. Do you share my data with third parties?
All information on how your data is handled can be found in the "Privacy Policy" section of our General Terms and Conditions. The basic principle is: We do not pass on any of our customer addresses to other retailers. You can find our privacy policy here.
13. My shopping cart is empty!
The problem is most likely with your browser. If cookies are not enabled, your shopping cart can only be filled with one item at a time. Cookies are, so to speak, your computer's short-term memory.
14. Which shirt size should I order?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the dimensions of individual t-shirts, as there are no standard units of measurement in the textile industry and dimensions can vary greatly depending on the country of origin and manufacturer.
15. My parcel is empty!?
Did you also check the grey corrugated cardboard? To protect against creases and damage, we pack our posters neatly and securely in wrapping paper. In addition, there is usually filling material in the package, please check carefully. You can reach our hotline at +49 711 450 45 66.

18. How do I return an item?
Please use our return label for the return shipment. You will receive this with the shipping confirmation by email as a PDF attachment. If this doesn't work, please contact us at retoure@closeup.de or by phone at +49 711 450 450. Please note that we unfortunately cannot provide return labels for international shipments. In this case, please send your return postage paid to: Close Up GmbH - Retoure - Schönbergstr. 39 - 73760 Ostfildern - Germany. Of course, these are not mandatory requirements for the effective exercise of the right of withdrawal, but are only intended to make the process easier for you.
19. How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. You can, of course, also unsubscribe directly on the newsletter page at any time.
20. Why isn't my order eligible for free shipping even though my cart value exceeds €100?
Free shipping does not apply to large frames. Therefore, you most likely have a larger frame in your shopping cart (unfortunately, we cannot offer free shipping once one side of the frame is larger than 60 cm). Furthermore, free shipping is only valid within Germany.
